I may be a little football obsessed, but mostly it’s just when my beloved Denver Broncos are playing. That being said when football season rolls around I always sneak in a some fun football themed activities into our homeschool plans. This football theme skip counting activity was quick to make but the kids love it! My Main Man still gets occasional skip counting practice and Ms. Sassy pants is learning it now so luckily it fit nicely into my football love. Before you holler at me, yes, I know that the yards on a real football field don’t run from 10 to 100 (my husband could not let this pass without comment when he saw it!) but we are learning to skip count to 100 so we just wanted the look of the field. If you have a little football lover in your house they are going to enjoy this learning activity! Go BRONCOS!!!!! OMAHA! (and yes I know he is retired but, he will always be part of the Orange Crush!)
Football Theme Skip Counting Activity
You will need:
green acrylic paint
white paint marker, fine tip
Paint craft sticks green on both sides, allow to dry completely.
Once they are dry use your fine tip white paint pen to make 10-100 on each end, leave space in the center for your line. When I got to 100 obviously I couldn’t center it so I just wrote it below the line.
We also made this little foam football by cutting out a football shape from craft foam and gluing on white laces cut from white craft foam. This just added another layer of fun to our activity.
Stick around, I have more fun football themed crafts and activities coming in the next few weeks!
